Helena Township Advocacy Group (HTAG) is a grass roots group of Helena Township residents focused on working together with our Planning Commission and Board to increase transparency and awareness about important topics impacting our community.

HTAG’s focus is to simply gather and disseminate information to help increase awareness and encourage involvement while remaining neutral on all topics.

Boats & Docks Ordinance (Section 5.02.02):

On 6/19/25, the Helena Township PC held a "Public Hearing" and passed NEW Boats & Docks Ordinance language but, due to IMPROPER Notice, must be reset. Click here for more info. The HTPC has scheduled a

PUBLIC HEARING for January 15, 2026 at 5:00 pm at the HT Community Center at a time many residents will be unable to attend due to being out of town for the holidays and/or winter season.

PC REDUCING Regular Monthly Meetings to 6/Yr.:

11/6/25 - HTPC voted to ELIMINATE 50% of their Regular Monthly meetings convening only in:

Feb., April, June, August, October & December.

*Note*: Many residents (snowbirds) will be unable to attend the February, April and December meetings.

RVs & Campers Ordinance (Section 4.04.01)

12/4/25 - HTPC decided to amend this Zoning Ordinance. Be sure to submit your questions, ideas and/or concerns to the Planning Commission.

Funneling Ordinance (Section 5.02.01) RE-DO (2X):

12/4/25 HTPC announced the need to REDO Ordinance due to IMPROPER NOTICE (2X).
